C - AHL Roster Regulation 2016-2017HOT


  1. A total of 4 (four) exchanges of players plus 1 (one) exchange of a goalkeeper (viz. §2 above) may be carried out in the time after September 12th, 2016 until end of Transfer Deadline January 31st, 2017, 11:59 pm taking in concern the national visa regulations.

    1. Should a player (A) be injured, he can be replaced by another player (B) as stated in §2 for the time of his injury (B for A). The Re-change (A for B) and the original change will only be counted as one change. This is possible until Transfer Deadline January 31st, 2017, 11:59 pm.

      • Example A = hurt player

      • B for A, then A for B = one change

      • B for A, then A for C = two changes

      • B for A, then C for B = two changes

    2. Should one of the national team players (i.e., players who played on the roster of their respective national team – of the national federation superordinate to the AHL club – in the last senior world championships (GP>0 and/or goalie GPI>0); official IIHF roster sheet for each respective world championship 2016 is valid) suffer a serious injury when deployed in the senior national team (inability to play for at least 4 weeks, presentation of an expert opinion from a specialist physician, examination by the team physician of the respective national team, and confirmation of the degree of injury), the club may replace that player with another player or transfer card player. This substitute player, whose points may exceed the points of the injured player only insofar as the total points of the roster sheet, minus the points of the injured player and plus the points of the substitute player, do not exceed 60 points, will be eligible to play as long as the national team player cannot be deployed; this will not be counted as an exchange. (Registration is only possible until Transfer Deadline date). The national federation will not charge any national fees for the registration of the substitute player.
