- A player is permitted to rotate his body on the face-off and kick the puck. "Kick the puck" is defined as an act of pushing or pulling the puck with the player's skate directly in contact with or close to the ice surface, for the sole purpose of propelling the puck.

Rule 152 - Kicking remains in effect. A player who kicks or attempts to kick another player, shall be assessed a Match Penalty.
