1. The ERSTE BANK Eishockey Liga is a non-profit association which brings together ice hockey clubs for the purpose of organizing, planning and carrying out league play. The rights and obligations of the members of the ERSTE BANK Eishockey Liga association are governed by the ERSTE BANK Eishockey Liga statutes.

    The ERSTE BANK Eishockey Liga has concluded a cooperation agreement with the Austrian Ice Hockey Federation (Österreichischer Eishockeyverband, or ÖEHV) which governs the rights and obligations of both contracting parties.

  2. The ERSTE BANK Eishockey Liga Championship is a competition in which teams from Austria and other European countries (referred to below as "ERSTE BANK Eishockey Liga clubs") compete for the ERSTE BANK Eishockey Liga Championship title, called “Karl Nedwed Trophy Winner” and in which the Austrian ERSTE BANK Eishockey Liga clubs compete to win the Austrian National Championship title in Austria's highest ice hockey division each season.

  3. The Erste Bank Young Stars League Championship is a competition in which teams from Austria and other European countries (referred to below as "ERSTE BANK Young Stars League clubs") compete for the ERSTE BANK Young Stars League Championship title and in which the Austrian ERSTE BANK Young Stars League clubs compete to win the Austrian National Championship title in Austria's U20 ice hockey division each season.

  4. The ERSTE BANK Juniors League Championship is a competition in which teams from Austria and other European countries (referred to below as " ERSTE BANK Juniors League clubs") compete for the ERSTE BANK Juniors League Championship title and in which the Austrian ERSTE BANK Juniors League clubs compete to win the Austrian National Championship title in Austria's U18 ice hockey division each season.

  5. Teams with their headquarter in one of the international ERSTE BANK Eishockey Liga nations, which play with Austrian license, obtain in all following regulations and terms (GameBook and Fundamental Rules) as international club and cannot hold the title of Austrian National Championship.

  6. Schedule of fees (only valid for ERSTE BANK Eishockey Liga)
    Invoicing of the ÖEHV fees will be done by blanket compensation agreed upon between ÖEHV and ERSTE BANK Eishockey Liga. The schedule of payment will be determined in a special agreement between ÖEHV and ERSTE BANK Eishockey Liga.
    Only those clubs which paid all fees for the past season (2018/19) will be eligible to participate in the ERSTE BANK Eishockey Liga Championship.

    The ÖEHV only charges the international transfer fees to be passed on to the IIHF or to other national federations (IIHF transfer cards | IIHF fax confirmations | transfer fees for foreign federations) in two installments (as of October 31st and January 31st) to the ERSTE BANK Eishockey Liga. The distribution of these fees among the accounts of the ERSTE BANK Eishockey Liga clubs is handled by the ERSTE BANK Eishockey Liga.
